Cooking can become extremely stressful. The chaos, the mess, the timings… everything just gets so confusing! But it does not always have to be like this. I am going to share with you some of my personal tips for making your cooking less stressful!

Planning
Planning is extremely handy especially with cooking. Check out all of your timings. Working out when different items should begin cooking and making a list of these times will really help. Also planning what meals you wish to cook that week will help you feel less stressed.

Timer
Use a basic kitchen timer. Whether this be on your phone, cooker or a little egg timer. Using these can help you to set alarms for when your other items need to begin cooking. I find this extremely handing when cooking a roast dinner.

Preparation
Take time to prepare before hand for your cooking session. By this I mean weighing out all of your ingredients so they are ready to use when you are ready to cook.

Why Stainless Steel?

Stainless steel is one of the most commonly used materials in home kitchens and commercial kitchens. But why is this the case?

Stainless steel is one of the most commonly used materials because it is super easy to keep clean. Making keeping the hygiene of your kitchen easier. Another material you could use is Titanium, however this is much more expensive. Stainless steel is your best option for price and quality.

Stainless steel is your best option for any kitchen. The reason why it is so easy to keep clean is because it does not have any pores. This means there are no small gaps for dirt to get stuck in. Making it so much easier to keep clean. All you will need to do is wipe it over with some cleaner and you’re ready to go.

This material is the perfect choice for any kitchen as it is cost effective, durable and still looks good.

Stainless steel in your kitchen looks amazing when its first installed, but over time with grease build up and fingerprints the stainless steel will become dull and cleaning it incorrectly  can cause it to go streaky.  So how do you get that streak free finish without the use of harsh chemicals? Firstly check the manufacturers recommended cleaning techniques as some stainless steel is coated which maybe damaged with the use of some cleaners.  The tips below are for cleaning without the use of chemicals.

  1. The cloth – using a lint free cloth to clean steel is a the best option as these will not leave fluff and are also soft enough to not cause damage. Use two clothes.
  2. The grain – Always wipe in the direction of the grain.
  3. Vinegar and Water Solution – Vinegar is a natural cleaner and will cut through grease.  Use equal amounts of vinegar and water in a spray bottle and wipe over,  following the grain.
  4. Polish – finally polish using a natural oil such as olive oil again buffing in the direction the the grain.
